Our Mission

We EXIST for the glory of God alone and TO SHARE that salvation is found in Christ alone. At Floral Park we are striving as a church family TO LIVE for the glory of God by LOVING each other like Christ, SERVING Butte for Christ and GROWING to look more like Christ.

FOR THE GLORY

OF GOD

Floral Park Baptist Church exists for the glory of God. All that we do exists for the glory of our triune God. The great work of redemption he’s accomplished in choosing to save his church was done for the glory and fame of his name. As the people of God, we do all things in order to make much of God in our lives and world—“to the only wise God be glory forevermore through Jesus Christ! Amen.” (Romans 16:27, ESV)

TO SHARE THE GOSPEL

At Floral Park Baptist Church, we as a family will team together to evangelize the world. We aim to have a Gospel-centered culture in which men and women of God go about their communities sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As Romans reminds us, “How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, 'How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!'” (Romans 10:14–15, ESV)

Our work in sharing the Gospel will be accompanied with both mercy ministry and gospel proclamation. We will seek to do good in Butte and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost. In addition, Floral Park Baptist Church will seek to spread the kingdom of God beyond our own city through supporting church plants and missionaries all over the world.

LOVING LIKE JESUS

John 13:34&35, "I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you are also to love another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

How can we love our surrounding community and world if we first don't love each other? At FPBC we desire to be an example to those around us of what love should look like. Christ gave up His life for the church and we desire to love each other in that way.

SERVING BUTTE FOR JESUS

Mark 12:31, "Love your neighbor as yourself."(CSB)

Jesus loves Butte and so does Floral Park. We don't want to be a church that is absent from making an impact in the community. On the contrary, we want to make an impact for Christ by showing Butte that Jesus does love them through His church.

GROWING TO LOOK LIKE JESUS

Ephesians 5:1, "Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children."(ESV)

The Word of God is critical for the Christian to grow. At Floral we submit to the inspired and inerrant Word of God. Our Sunday School, Small Group ministries and anything else we do will always be in alignment with Scripture. In order to grow to look more like Christ we must saturate ourselves in the Word and that is what we are about here.
